1.

a) By Ohm's Law:  I = V/R  = 5Volts/50Ohms = 0.1A.

b) If  I = 1A and  V = 5Volts,  R = V/I (Ohm's Law) = 5Volts/1A = 5 Ohms.

2.

a) R1:  20 * 101 = 200 Ohms.

b) R2:  42 * 100 = 42 * 1 = 42 Ohms.

c) R3:  53 * 102 = 53 * 100 = 5,300 Ohms.(5.3KOhms)

d) R4:  67 * 103 = 57 * 1000 = 67,000 Ohms.(67KOhms)

e) R5:  98 * 101 = 980 Ohms.

3.

There is 1000mA in 1A, so we must multiply by 1000 to get from Amps to Milliamps:

a) 0.1A = 100mA.

b) 12 A = 12,000mA.

c) 0.05A = 50mA.

d) 3A = 3,000mA.

There is 1000 Ohms in 1 K Ohm, so we divide by 1000 to get from Ohms to K Ohms.

e) 10 Ohms = 0.01 KOhms.

f)  520 Ohms = 0.52 KOhms.

g) 7500 Ohms = 7.5 KOhms.

h) 100 Ohms = 0.1 KOhms.

4.

a) If the 4th band is silver the tolerance is 10%.

b) If the 4th band is gold the tolerance is 5%.
